Managing Partner Wesley “Wes” Kirkwood grew up in Nappanee, graduated from NorthWood High School, and returned to his hometown in 2020 with a commitment to serving local individuals, families, and businesses.
Wes earned a chemistry degree from Indiana University and graduated cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Before returning home, he worked as a patent attorney at a prominent Chicago intellectual property firm, addressing complex legal and technical issues for a client base that included Fortune 500 companies.
His primary practice focus is civil litigation and criminal defense, with additional work in family law, elder law, Medicaid planning, estate planning and administration, and representation for businesses.

A Nappanee Native Serving Families and Individuals
Associate Attorney William Kirkwood grew up in Nappanee and graduated from DePauw University in 2018. He earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2021.
After law school, William worked as a pharmaceutical representative before joining Kirkwood Law in June 2024. He moved to the Kosciusko County Public Defender’s Office in July 2025 and returned to Kirkwood Law in July 2026.
William handles family law, CHINS cases, juvenile matters, and criminal defense.
